HS2 [The Pigeon Crab - Antique Railway]

HS2 is 60-year-old technology.
It will be 70-year-old technology by the hoped time of running phase1 starts.
Paris to Nice is 975 kilometres.
Paris to Bordeaux 584 kilometres.
London to Glasgow is 566 kilometres.
London to Birmingham is 202 km.
For the expense, the time gaining over our U.k shorter distances is negligible and hard to justify the claims of economic growth based on time savings of between 14 minutes to 33 minutes. [The travel times seem to have been stretched as there is contradictory eveidence of capable times run compared to times run.] Current National rail speed is up to 140 mph [225 kph] Predicted speed increase would [probably in reality] be up to 186 mph [300 kph] max.
It is important to note and incorporate into the time saving from the high speeds predicted, is that in order to make use of high speed trains, there needs to be long straight line sections inbetween the slow urban arrival / exit end sections. Because the distances on the British isle are not very far [examples above] the straight sections possible is restricted and limited. This means that a ratio of possibility for time gained over expense compared to improvements to existing lines & trains is negligable.
Just when the world is testing routes using maglev and the 'sealed low pressure tube' known as hyperloop, taking speeds of 320 kph [TGV straight running] to 603 kph [Nagoya Japan] to Over 1000 kph [621 Mph] for the [Dubai to Riyadh] line [With speeds predicted to be capable of Supersonic {'over the ground'} with further hyperloop deals being done & considered in Europe and of course America both above and below ground.
In Britain because of the restriction to speed achievment [no one would be happy with rapid g-force acceleration and deceleration to make use of the short straight sections] it would be better for Britain to focus on capacity of train designs & modernising exhisting lines for speed gains with higher capacity carriges.
Britain in 2035 will have spent its money for 10-15% increase in speed only to look like we paid new money for a new Antique railway [newly bought steam engines retired prior to deisel change] {repeated error} And still be faced with modernising the exhisting lines to maintain capacity and improve those speeds to retain a camparable choice.
I am sure that the jobs created will be beneficial and there will be increased connectivity for the North [from London] but it would be much better to increase rail connectiity in the north. London alrady has 3 main lines running [connecting] the south to the midlands and the north. It would also be better [crucial] to be looking to the future when investing in the future, specifically here with rail.

I despair and cringe with embarrassment.
An option that could and should be considered is putting hyperloop Along and Above the M1-M6 & M1-A1 motorways and so on.. And the possible existing railway lines.
There would be no land loss as with the new antique hs2 railway and acceleration to deceleration, limited only by half distance & g-limited to civil comfort. [Predicted max service speed in Britain would be a length of 600 mph [965 kph] ''London to Edinborough 50 minutes''

Change was on the horizon long ago. Well spotted. Britain is reacting [as is the current trend] to understanding and running catch-up-stumble as it {ongoing} adjusts in salvage manuevers.
HS2 [if it is not stopped] will be a very expensive white elephant that a future government [and the country] will have to remain saddled with and committed to untill government allows [after likely blocking] Hyperloop installations, which will make HS2 an empty expence and a tragic loss of and missuse of land.
